Bas relief portrait of German hospital surgeon and gynecological professor at the Hospital of Chicago. Dr. Albert Goldspohn (1853-1929) won international recognition for devising and improving a technique for abdominal surgery and was a frequent contributor to medical journals. Goldspohn Hall, located on the campus of North Central College in Naperville, Illinois, is named after him. Plaque dedicated on May 21, 1930.
