This sculpture evokes the wonder of the artist’s interest in nature as a child, learning of an ancient seabed through the fossils found in a local creek bed. This wonder of imagining your home once being underneath the sea is overlayed with the memory of playing baseball over left field as the Goodyear blimp flew overhead, creating a similar sense of wonder. These visual memories evoke the awe of an everchanging landscape, and how small humans are in the grand scheme of our environment over all of its history.
